Island Garden City of Samal: Inland Tour

Image
Samal Island is part of the province Davao del Norte. It is just a 10-15 minutes ride from Davao City via ferry boat. We had Kuya Gary and Kuya Justin arranged a transfer for us so we could arrive early at Davao since we are meeting one of our friend at Sasa port by 10:00 am. They offered us a private van that will fetch us Oasis Rest House and will take us directly to the port where we can ride a RoRo to Samal Island for P5,000. We left early that morning (4:00AM); sun is still not showing up and fog is everywhere since it’s a bit rainy that morning. We were not able to grab breakfast before leaving because we are in a hurry so we decided to grab breakfast on our way back to Davao. Around 10:00Am, we arrived at Km. 11 Sasa Port in Davao City. We paid P10 for the ferry ride. No need to wait for scheduled trips since ferry left every 5 minutes. Before leaving Manila, we have pre-arranged everything to save time contacting and booking tours. We booked Kuya Manuel (contact detail

Britania Group of Islands: The Hundred Islands of Surigao del Sur

Image
Britania Group of Islands (San Agustin, Surigao del Sur) is comprised of 24 islets but only a few can be visited. There are only four beach destinations for island hopping: Hagonoy Island, Naked Island, Boslon Island, and Hiyor Hiyoran Island. From Bislig to San Agustin: Since we are staying at Bislig, Surigao del Sur, we need to travel for about 2-3 hours north to reach San Agustin. Good thing we have Kuya Gary and Kuya Justin with a helping hand who arranged our transfers. They contacted a private van that can take us directly to our hotel in San Agustin. We got our transfer for only P1,500. Where we stay: We pre-booked our stay at Oasis Rest House via Airbnb for only  P3,348 for 1 night good for 7 pax. Construction on some part of the place is still ongoing but the place is good if you are just looking for a place to stay for the night after a long tiring island hopping during the day. Besides, the owner and the staffs are accommodating; they even talked with

Travel Guide to Bislig and Hinatuan (Surigao del Sur)

Image
Surigao del Sur is part of the Caraga region located in Mindanao. It is situated in the eastern coast of Mindanao facing the Philippine Sea to the east - so expect beautiful islands and strong waves. Since our entry and exit point is Davao City, we need to travel for 6-8 hours by land to reach Surigao del Sur. FROM DAVAO (FRANCISCO BANGOY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT): (Tagum Terminal) We arrived late in the evening so we decided to hire van that will take us directly to Tagum Bus Terminal where we can hop on a bus going to Mangagoy, Bislig. We were offered by one of the local drivers P2,000 for the van but we haggled it to P1,500. We arrived at Tagum around 1:00 AM (Day 1). The earliest bus to Mangagoy is at 4:00AM so we waited for about three hours. Bus fare is P270. Around 9:00AM, we were finally at Mangagoy, Bislig. We took a tricycle to Paper Country Inn (PCI), which we pre-booked via phone for P1,750 (for 7 pax). Tricycle is P10 each. Kuya Gary (member of DIYTri

Beauty Is Beyond Size: #GainingWeightIsCool

Image
(Round face, fat ass and broad shoulders - Yeah, I know I'm beautiful) The standard of being beautiful changes overtime – from having the finest skin to the thinnest body figure. Beauty as define by the dictionary is the quality of being “physically attractive”. It is the qualities in a person that give pleasure to the senses or the mind. Being thin may be pleasing to one’s eye, white-skinned woman may be attractive to others but the standard of being beautiful isn’t just plainly about the size of your waist and the color of your skin. Like every other curvy girls out there, I have been called fat several times. Friends and relatives who would see me after a long time would say “You’re so fat now. What happen?” It may sound offensive but I always don’t take it seriously. It’s a secret I guess that I can share with you. Always look for the positive side in every negative situation – laugh it out! At some point I wanted to slap them or just walk out but I chose to ju
